I've been thinking about this a bit. I've been involved with Amharic
software in some way for 12 years now, the rarest of all things in the
experience I can say is feedback. Even when I _know_ people are using
a software I've developed, and I also know it has problems, I almost
never hear anything. It is a great mystery. Related to this, and as
a word of advice, never expect to hear someone say "thank you" or offer
words of praise for work you've done. Its even more rare so you have to
be involved in the field as a labor of love and have a true believe in
its ultimate value to society.

>From the anonymous public this is to be expected. But as developers on
the same mail list we should be doing better! Time has been the issue
for me, I will try to take advantage of the holiday and do an install.

Here's an idea: to help the communication side, if two people will
commit with me we can start having weekly meetings on IRC. We can
create a channel on a free server somewhere and try to meet sometime
on Saturday or Sunday when people are mostly free, we just need to set
a time. It would also be a place that we can hang out as we work during
the week. Any takers?

thanks,

/Daniel
