of a comprehensive online Amharic-English dictionary at
http://www.ethiopiandictionary.com/ 
The dictionary, with over 7,000 Amharic words, is developed as a free resource 
for writers, students, and travelers to Ethiopia. Currently the dictionary
allows 
users to search English words by entering partial or full words, and listing 
both the Amharic translation and its phonetic pronunciation. 

The dictionary also offers a unique capability that allows users to see Ethiopic 
characters without installing or downloading any new fonts to their system. 
We are currently working on allowing users to search Amharic words, which will 
be released in the coming weeks. Eliab Consulting is also committed on brining 
other Ethiopian languages to the online community in the near future.
