Selam All!
Ubuntu is a good choice to start with. Let us keep in mind that we have
a goal and work to make available Ubuntu OS in Amharic in year 2000. It
is possible.
The first Linux OS I tried was Ubuntu without having a clue that much.
Don't have it now, but I will install it again in the coming weeks.
