Dear Tegene:<br>I need your help. <br><br>The reason I joined this group was to learn & if possible to document Ge'ez. Forutnately, I borrowed volumes of work by Dillman, Leslau, Getatchew and others which if put in excel would make a nice electronic dictionary. <br>
<br>There was a priest who was helping me learn the language while I was in Los Angeles. Now I mvoed from Los Angeles to 'No Man Land', not even owned by the Indians, where I can claim, I am the only working Ethiopian resident of the city of Merced ( excluding two students who attend UC Merced), As a resulte, I have lost it all. <br>

After agonizing for many years the authorities in Ethiopia came out<br>

lacks in many ways. It can be clearly observed that there is lack of<br>
coordination between the linguists and the information technology<br>
professionals. And it resulted in a less than optimal Amharic terms.<br>
But I belive it can be perfected on the process of translating and<br>
translators should not hesitate to experiment and make suggestions.<br>
There is still a great deal of fragmentation of translations and lack<br>
of coordination.<br>
